Cogeneration

How they work

A CHP (Combined Heat and Power) cogeneration system allows for the simultaneous self-production of electrical energy and thermal energy from a single fuel.

The heat generated by combustion, normally dispersed in the exhaust gases and engine cooling circuits, is recovered using high-efficiency heat exchangers and made available for heating and hot water production applications.

Cogeneration units can be integrated into existing systems (traditional boilers, water heat pumps, and solar thermal systems) and are easily connected to the heat distribution circuit. Thanks to heat recovery, the system thus created achieves high efficiency, optimizing operating costs in the industrial and tertiary sectors.

The range

Green Power Technologies designs and builds advanced micro-cogeneration and cogeneration solutions to ensure maximum energy efficiency and application flexibility.

The "micro" range includes units with a power output of up to 50 kW, powered by natural gas or LPG, with standard models of 7.5 kWe / 14.5 kWt and 20 kWe / 37 kWt, ideal for residential and commercial applications, small production facilities, swimming pools, community facilities, and facilities intended for personal care services.

Customizations

For higher power ratings or to meet specific operational and plant requirements, Green Power Technologies manufactures cogeneration systems ranging from 100 kW to 1.5 MW, including for biogas, which are custom-designed in close collaboration with the customer for applications in the industrial sector, large commercial facilities, and power supply and grid support in the case of plants intended for public use. *Further details can be requested from our technical support team.

All solutions provided can operate in parallel with the grid or in island mode (for machines with power exceeding 100kW), and are designed for remote control and monitoring via a dedicated web platform.

Green Power Technologies can offer a high level ofdedicated technical customization, including cooling systems such as absorbers, special heat exchangers for steam production, as well as aesthetic and branding customizations.
